The WIC Overview for Vendors is intended to help vendors understand the WIC program overall and vendor specific WIC program elements. Learn about the basics of WIC including participant eligibility, the food packages, and WIC services available in addition to food benefits. This resource also provides high level information on topics specific to WIC shopping such as what it means to be a WIC-authorized vendor, WIC State agency monitoring, payment processing, the use of approved product lists (APLs), and a high-level infographic of the in-person and online shopping process for WIC participants.
